    Disney Cruise Packing List

    Essential Documents

You would want to keep all your important documents neatly in one place so you don't lose them. To keep your party documents organized and hassle-free, it's essential to travel with a reliable folder or organizer. Trust me, when you reach the Port for check-in, you'll be grateful for knowing exactly where everything is located. Here's a checklist of essential documents to include:

    • Passport
    • Driver's License
    • Birth Certificates (for under 15 kids)
    • Official Cruise Document / Online Check-in / Port Arrival Form
    • Return Travel Arrangements (Travel Confirmations for buses, rentals, shuttles, hotels, and flights)
    • Insurance (Health insurance cards, travel insurance information)
    • Disney Luggage Tags

    Clothes

While clothing packing might sound simple, you will be amazed at how easily you can mess it up when the time is short. It's never too careful when you packing clothes for a Disney Cruise. Here is the list:

    • Bottoms like shorts, capris, pants, jeans, and leggings.
    • Jackets, and hoodies in case the air conditioner is too cold for you.
    • Pajamas
    • 2-3 swimsuits for each person if you are into swimming in the pool.
    • Accessories like jewelry, belts, hats, ties, watches, glasses, and sunglasses.
    • T-shirt, Hawaiian shirt, long sleeve.

    Shoes

You don't need anything extravagant when it comes to shoes. All you want is a pair of comfortable walking shoes to travel and explore along with some flip-flops for water-related activities.

    • Comfortable walking shoes.
    • Dress shoes, and heels for dinner and Adult-Only Dining
    • Flip-flop, sandals.

    Medical necessities

While not many people have motion sickness on cruises, if your kid has motion sickness, you should still be prepared rather than letting them stay uncomfortable the whole trip. A first-aid kit is recommended so you can deal with emergencies while traveling anywhere.

    Other items

Getting matching Disney family shirts will make the trip more fun and raise the spirit. Also, it will help you spot each other more easily if you get separated on the cruise.

8 Tips to Enjoy a Disney Cruise Trip

Have lunch at a sit-down restaurant when you first board the ship

As Disney Cruise Line embarkation times typically commence just before noon, many guests opt to head to Cabanas, the buffet available on each of the 4 ships, for lunch. However, buffets can quickly become crowded and chaotic, especially during the boarding process. To avoid the rush, consider asking a cast member which of the main dining rooms are open for lunch and secure a table there.

During our first day aboard the ship, we chose to enjoy a leisurely sit-down lunch while also taking the time to set up our Disney Cruise Line app, which allows seamless communication with fellow party members while on board. Additionally, we perused the Navigator – DCL's daily paper listing of onboard events – to plan out our activities for the day ahead.

Have a tour around the ship

This will help you become familiar with the layout of the ship and it is also very fascinating to enjoy the deck view and explore different areas, and activities.

Enjoy yourself as much as possible with the food

Most breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as buffet meals, are included in Disney cruise prices so help yourself out. You can also ask the server to get food from another restaurant on a different deck.

Make use of the room service

Room services are available 24/7 and they are all included in the cost of your cruise. So if you aren't feeling like going to the sit-down restaurant or buffet or simply just want a light meal, call the room service. Also, if you or your family have any requirements or dietary needs, feel free to notify the crew members.

Give your kids freedom and do things by themselves

There are a lot of activities for both kids and adults on board. You don't have to stay beside your kid all the time. Give them the freedom to enjoy themselves while you and your partner enjoy yours.
