What is Cricket?

Cricket is a popular sport in a large number of nations worldwide. This is a stick-based game that is played between two teams; each side will have 11 players and will compete on a circular field separated into two rounds; each round will be broken into 11 short sessions. There will be 2 people in 2 teams playing against each other. In cricket matches, 2 teams will take turns, for each team serving, one team will hit the ball. If all the batting team players are disqualified, then one team will change to pitch and the other team will hit the ball.

The person assigned to hold the opposing team's batting stick will have to find a way to hit the ball to the outside, protecting his side's three pillars. If the ball is hit far away, the two people holding the team's clubs must run in the direction of the ball, running back and forth between the two ends of the field. For each such run, it will be counted as a spice. And then, the players of the pitching team will have to catch the ball when it returns to be counted. Just like that, the players on both sides have to run back and forth and earn points for their team until one of the two is thrown out by the team.

Players of the batting team will be disqualified in the following cases:

The pitching team broke the three pillars while throwing the ball.

The pitching team recaptures the ball when the batter returns without touching the ground.

The hitter who touches the front line with his foot and covers the three pillars will be penalized and disqualified.

The person assigned to throw the ball must be able to break the three pillars while the batter is still running and cannot return in time to catch the ball.

At the end of each match, the points of both teams will be calculated as follows:

The player who runs from the top of the field to the level of the three pillars on the other side will be 1 player.

For each player hitting the ball to the edge of the field, there will be 4 planers.

The player hitting the ball without touching the ground and flying out of bounds will be 6 planers.

Popular types of cricket

Combat cricket form

This is the longest form of cricket, up to 5 days, requiring athletes to be extremely physically fit. A match cricket match will be played by 2 countries with professional free agent athletes and compete against each other. And currently, in the world, 12 countries are allowed to register for the cricket competition decided by the International Cricket Association. A country will be allowed to participate in competitive cricket if it reaches a certain level and is accepted by the International Cricket Association. A cricket match is played for 5 days and if there is a previous winner, the match will end earlier and after 5 days, there is no winner, and the result will be fixed. 

In a cricket match, each team will take turns hitting and throwing the ball and can hit a maximum of 2 times. The ultimate goal is to get more points than the opposing team after 2 batting sessions. In particular, for the form of antagonistic cricket, to win, the teams will have to make the opponent team eliminated twice. If there is a team with a higher score but the opponent is not eliminated, the result is still considered a tie.

A single form of cricket

Single-player cricket is a fairly new type of game. With this format, matches will only take place in one day, each team will be allowed to throw and hit the ball for a certain time, usually only 50 rounds. After the time is up, they will be replaced with other pairs and continue to play. If a stroke is eliminated before the end time, the other team will start hitting the ball. If the second team reaches the opponent's score within that time limit, the second team wins. And vice versa, if the second team is eliminated first then the first team will win.

Single-day cricket is different from match cricket because each team can only hit and throw the ball once and the team with the least points has lost, unlike match cricket, which must eliminate the opposing team to win.

Twenty20 Cricket Form 

The form of cricket Twenty20 can actually be understood as a type of play of the single-day form and has also been applied in recent times. With this form, instead of teams being allowed to throw and hit the ball 50 times like singles, two teams are only allowed to throw and hit the ball in 20 rounds. The purpose of this form is to shorten the competition time to only about 3 hours. Difference between cricket and baseball
