Monkey is a term referring to most mammals of the infraorder Simiiformers which are also known as the simians.
There are two main families of monkeys including New World monkeys ( known as Platyrrhini) and Old World monkeys( known as Cercopithecidae in the strict sense or Catarrhini in the broad sense).
